Honda launches ProZision zero turn mowers
Honda launches ProZision zero turn mowers for commercial crews with cut quality, comfort, and durability.

Honda has long been a trusted name in lawn care, known for pairing reliable small engines with solid mower design. Now the company is pushing into battery-powered equipment with its new ProZision zero turn mowers, built specifically for commercial crews.
These machines focus on cut quality, operator comfort, and durability. The ProZision ZTRs use three sets of twin blades, each driven by an independent 48V brushless motor. The motors maintain high blade tip speeds for consistent cutting performance, while two additional motors power the drive wheels, ensuring blade performance isn’t compromised by movement.

The MicroCut Twin Blades lift grass with airflow, cutting it twice for a cleaner finish. The top cutting edge makes the first pass, and the lower edge follows up, eliminating the need for a second pass over the same area. Finer clippings mean no need for a mulching kit, and offset front caster wheels prevent flattening grass ahead of the blades, reducing uncut streaks.
A 19.2kWh battery delivers enough power for up to 15 acres per charge. Recharging takes about 6.5 hours at 240V, with the cost of electricity adding only pennies per kilowatt-hour to operating expenses.
Comfort comes from Honda’s Ideal Operator Positioning System (IOPS), which adjusts seat and lap bars in one step, eliminating the need for separate adjustments. The mowers also feature full suspension—torsional damping up front and independent rear suspension with dual trailing arms—to smooth out rough terrain and reduce operator fatigue. This full suspension setup is unique in the zero turn market, further setting ProZision apart from competitors.

The chassis uses durable steel with high-strength, low-alloy reinforcements in key areas, creating a rigid, low-vibration foundation. This design not only improves longevity but also protects the electrical systems, which benefit from reduced stress. Unlike gas models, there are no belts, pulleys, or spindles to replace, which Honda says eliminates common maintenance hassles. The precision engineering behind the components ensures they hold up under commercial demands.
Honda backs the ProZision with a 3-year/2000-hour commercial warranty, reflecting confidence in its durability. The 54-inch and 60-inch models start at $32,999.

Over time, savings on fuel, oil, and parts can offset the upfront cost. Without belts, pulleys, or spindles, there are no spare parts to stock or downtime for replacements. There’s no winterizing, carburetor cleaning, or air filter replacements—just blade and tire upkeep for the first 2000 hours. The absence of zerks also means no greasing is required, streamlining maintenance further.
Local dealers are offering test drives for crews considering the switch.
