(Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and The Bookish!)
I talked about my most anticipated releases for the start of 2017 back in December. Now all of those are released, I’m looking forward once again!
These books are all released before the start of 2018. It’s shaping up to be a very exciting six months.
10) ‘The Color Project’ by Sierra Abrams – July 18th
I’m conflicted about Sierra Abrams debut. On the one hand, she’s been problematic in the past (and boy, oh boy, it pissed me off at the time). On the other hand it sounds like an adorable and summery contemporary. Swings and roundabouts…
9) ‘The Art of Feeling’ by Laura Tims – August 15th
A girl who’s in constant pain and a boy who can’t feel pain? That sounds like the start of a very unconventional relationship. I heard about this book for the first time last week, when Cait from Paper Fury featured it on her list, but I’m so excited about it now.
8) ‘Wicked Like a Wildfire’ by Lana Popovic – August 15th
I’ve been interested in reading ‘Wicked Like a Wildfire’ since the cover was revealed. It’s just so gorgeous, and completely different to anything else that you normally see in YA.
7) ‘The Arsonist’ by Stephanie Oakes – August 22nd
A boy with epilepsy and a diary and a girl who has a murdering father and a potentially dead mother. INTRIGUE. (Plus uber gorgeous cover).
6) ‘Flight of a Starling’ by Lisa Heathfield – June 29th
As soon as I finished reading ‘Paper Butterflies’ I knew I had to read whatever Lisa Heathfield released next. The lovely publisher sent me an invite as soon as it went up on NetGalley, so I already have it… I just need to get into the mood for it. It’s about sisters who have a trapeze act, for Christ’s sake. Can you think of anything more unique?!
5) ‘It Only Happens in the Movies’ by Holly Bourne – October 1st
I still haven’t finished reading Holly Bourne’s Spinster Club novels, but I’m already excited for her next release. Just look at how cute the cover is!
4) ‘All the Crooked Saints’ by Maggie Stiefvater – October 10th
I loved the Shiver trilogy, but I couldn’t get into the Raven Quartet. I’m hoping ‘All The Crooked Saints’ will be as good as it sounds, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up.
3) ‘There’s Someone Inside Your House’ by Stephanie Perkins – September 26th
It’s difficult to do YA horror well, but if I trust anyone to do it right it’s Stephanie Perkins. I’ve only read two of her contemporary novels but I loved them both, so fingers crossed I’ll love this one too.
2) ‘You Don’t Know Me but I Know You’ by Rebecca Barrow – August 29th
Rebecca used to work for the same library service I did, so I’ve been hearing about the book since before it was officially announced. Hopefully it’ll be as good as I’m anticipating!
1) ‘The Becoming of Noah Shaw’ by Michelle Hodkin – November 7th
I haven’t finished the Mara Dyer trilogy yet, but I’m going to. I was too scared to see how it finished, because I was scared of bad things happening! Reading more of Noah is going to be exciting (it also means he survives the main trilogy – fear abated!).

Tied for most anticipated would have to be Lisa Lueddecke’s ‘A Shiver of Snow and Sky‘, which is coming out on the 5th of October. It doesn’t have a cover yet, which is the only reason I’ve popped it in as an afterthought!
I hope you enjoyed this Top Ten Tuesday. Are there any books releasing in the next six months that you can’t wait to get your hands on?
